5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Battery

Before initial use, fully charge the internal battery. Connect the AC power adapter to the DC IN jack on the player and then to a wall outlet. The charging indicator will illuminate. A full charge can take several hours. The player can be used while charging.

5.2 Connecting to Power

  • AC Power: Connect the AC adapter to the player's DC IN jack and then to a standard electrical outlet.
  • Car Power: Connect the DC car power cord to the player's DC IN jack and then to your vehicle's 12V accessory socket (cigarette lighter).

5.3 Inserting a Disc

  1. Open the disc tray by gently pressing the EJECT button or sliding the tray cover.
  2. Place the DVD or CD onto the disc spindle with the label side facing up.
  3. Gently press the disc down until it clicks into place.
  4. Close the disc tray.

5.4 Adjusting the Screen

The 8.5-inch LCD screen can be swiveled and tilted to achieve the best viewing angle. Gently adjust the screen to your desired position. Avoid excessive force.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On/Off

Press the POWER button to turn the player on or off. The screen will illuminate when powered on.

6.2 Basic Playback

  1. Insert a DVD or CD as described in Section 5.3.
  2. The player will typically begin playback automatically. If not, press the PLAY button.
  3. Use the PAUSE button to temporarily stop playback and PLAY to resume.
  4. Press the STOP button to end playback.
  5. Use the FAST FORWARD and REWIND buttons to navigate through content.
  6. Use the SKIP buttons to jump to the next or previous chapter/track.

6.3 Volume Control

Adjust the volume using the VOLUME +/- buttons on the unit or remote control.

6.4 Screen Adjustments

Access the on-screen menu to adjust screen brightness, contrast, and color settings. Some models may have dedicated buttons for brightness control. Reducing screen brightness can extend battery life.

6.5 Connecting to an External Display

Use the supplied Audio/Video cable to connect the player's AV OUT jack to the AV IN jacks of a television or monitor. Select the appropriate input on your external display to view the content.

7.1 Cleaning the Unit

  • Wipe the exterior of the player with a soft, dry cloth.
  • For the LCD screen, use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for electronics screens. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Never spray liquid directly onto the unit or screen.

7.2 Battery Care

  • To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • If storing the player for an extended period, charge the battery to approximately 50% and store in a cool, dry place. Recharge every 6 months to prevent deep discharge.

7.3 Disc Care

  • Handle discs by their edges to avoid fingerprints.
  • Clean discs with a soft, lint-free cloth, wiping from the center outwards.
  • Store discs in their cases to prevent scratches.
