4. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the miter saw and all included accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
  2. Mounting: Securely mount the miter saw to a stable workbench or a compatible miter saw stand (e.g., UU610, sold separately) using appropriate fasteners. Ensure the saw is level and stable before operation.

  4. Dust Bag Attachment: Connect the dust bag to the saw's dust port to collect sawdust during operation.
  5. Power Connection: Connect the saw to a suitable 120V power outlet. Ensure the power switch is in the OFF position before plugging in the tool.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

To turn the saw ON, press the trigger switch. To turn it OFF, release the trigger switch. Always ensure the workpiece is properly secured and your hands are clear of the blade area before starting the saw.

5.2 Adjusting Miter Angle

The miter saw allows for angle adjustments from 0 to 52 degrees both to the left and right. To adjust:

  1. Loosen the miter lock knob.
  2. Rotate the turntable to the desired angle, using the scale for precision.
  3. Utilize the thumb-actuated positive stops for common angles (e.g., 0°, 15°, 22.5°, 30°, 45°).
  4. Tighten the miter lock knob securely before making a cut.

5.3 Adjusting Bevel Angle

The saw can bevel up to 45 degrees to the left. To adjust the bevel angle:

  1. Loosen the bevel lock lever located at the rear of the saw.
  2. Tilt the saw head to the desired angle, aligning with the bevel scale.
  3. Tighten the bevel lock lever firmly to secure the angle.

5.4 Using the Laser Marker System

The integrated laser marker system provides a precise visual guide for your cut line. To activate:

  1. Locate the laser ON/OFF switch on the saw's motor housing.
  2. Flip the switch to the ON position. A red laser line will project onto your workpiece, indicating the blade's path.
  3. Align your pencil mark with the laser line for accurate cuts.

Note: Laser visibility may be reduced in bright lighting conditions.

5.5 Using the Pivoting Flip Fence

The pivoting flip fence can be raised to provide additional support for taller workpieces, such as crown molding cut vertically. Ensure the fence is securely positioned for your specific cutting application.
