  2. Separate Cards: Shuffle the Chance and Community Chest cards separately and place them face down on their designated spaces on the board.
  3. Banker Selection: One player is chosen as the Banker. The Banker is responsible for all money, property deeds, houses, and hotels not yet owned by players. The Banker may also play, but must keep their personal funds separate from the Bank.
  4. Initial Money Distribution: The Banker distributes the starting money to each player according to standard Monopoly rules (e.g., two $500s, two $100s, two $50s, six $20s, five $10s, five $5s, and five $1s).
  5. Choose Tokens: Each player selects one of the six collectible pewter tokens and places it on the "GO" space.
  6. Houses and Hotels: Place the houses and hotels near the board, ready for purchase.

Operating (How to Play)

USAopoly Cat Lover's Monopoly follows the traditional rules of Monopoly, with the added charm of a cat theme. The objective is to become the wealthiest player by buying, renting, and selling properties, ultimately driving opponents into bankruptcy.

Game Flow:

  1. Starting the Game: Each player rolls both dice. The player with the highest total goes first. Play proceeds clockwise.
  2. Player's Turn:
    • Roll both dice and move your token clockwise around the board the number of spaces indicated.
    • Follow the instructions of the space you land on:
      • Unowned Property: You may buy it from the Bank for the price printed on that space. If you choose not to buy it, the Banker immediately offers it for auction to the highest bidder.
      • Owned Property: If another player owns the property, you must pay rent as shown on its Property Deed card.
      • Chance or Community Chest: Draw the top card from the respective pile and follow its instructions.
      • Go to Jail: Move your token directly to the "In Jail" space. Your turn ends.
      • Income Tax / Luxury Tax: Pay the specified amount to the Bank.
      • Go: If you pass or land on "GO", collect $200 from the Bank.
    • Doubles: If you roll doubles, take your turn as usual, then roll the dice again for another turn. If you roll doubles three times in a row, you must immediately "Go to Jail".
  3. Building: Once you own all properties in a color group, you can buy houses and hotels from the Bank and place them on your properties to increase rent.
  4. Trading: Players can trade properties, money, and "Get Out of Jail Free" cards with each other at any time.
  5. Bankruptcy: If you owe more money than you can pay, you are bankrupt and out of the game.

Winning the Game:

The last player remaining in the game, after all others have gone bankrupt, is the winner.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the game board and plastic components with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or excessive moisture, which can damage the printed surfaces.
