The DC21 includes a lifetime HEPA filter designed to capture microscopic particles. Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance.

  2. Remove Filter: Carefully remove the HEPA filter.
  3. Wash Filter: Wash the filter with cold water only. Do not use detergents or place in a dishwasher.
  4. Dry Filter: Allow the filter to air dry completely for a minimum of 24 hours before reinserting. Ensure it is absolutely dry to prevent damage to the motor.
  5. Reinstall Filter: Once dry, reinsert the filter into its compartment and secure it.

6. Troubleshooting

Problem: No Power
  • Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a functional electrical outlet.
  • Verify the outlet is operational by testing with another appliance.
  • Check for tripped circuit breakers in your home's electrical panel.
Problem: Loss of Suction
  • Empty the dust bin if it is full or debris has reached the MAX fill line.
  • Inspect the hose, wand, and cleaning head for any blockages and remove them.
  • Ensure the HEPA filter is clean and completely dry before reinstallation.
  • Verify all connections (hose to unit, wand to hose, cleaning head to wand) are secure.
Problem: Brush Bar Not Rotating
  • Ensure the brush bar on/off switch is in the 'on' position.
  • Check for obstructions such as hair, threads, or debris wrapped around the brush bar. Carefully remove any entanglements.
  • If the brush bar bogs down on thick carpet, it may be due to excessive resistance; ensure the brush bar is clean and free of debris.
