4.2. Lens Protection

The DMC-TZ3S features a built-in automatic lens barrier that protects the lens when the camera is off. Ensure no foreign objects obstruct the lens barrier's operation.

4.3. Storage

When not in use for extended periods, store the camera in a cool, dry place. Remove the battery if storing for several months to prevent leakage.

5. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible Cause / Solution
Camera does not power on.Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted.
Images are blurry.Check if Intelligent Image Stabilization (Mega O.I.S. and Intelligent ISO Control) is active. Ensure sufficient lighting. Avoid excessive camera shake.
Poor image quality in low light.Increase ISO sensitivity (if available in current mode) or use the built-in flash. Note that higher ISO settings may introduce noise.
Short battery life.Frequent use of flash, continuous shooting, or prolonged LCD display use can drain the battery faster. Ensure the battery is fully charged. Consider carrying a spare battery for extended use.
Difficulty capturing fast-moving subjects.Use 'Sports' scene mode. While the camera has Intelligent ISO Control, it may not be ideal for very high-speed action photography in all lighting conditions.
Memory card error.Ensure the memory card is inserted correctly and is not damaged. Try formatting the card (this will erase all data).
