  4. Steam Button: Activates steam functions.
  5. Spray Mist Button: Activates the spray function.
  6. Surge of Steam Button: Provides an extra burst of steam.
  7. Non-Stick Soleplate: The heated surface that glides over fabric.
  8. Water Tank: Holds water for steam and spray functions.
  9. Power Cord: Connects the iron to an electrical outlet.

4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the iron from its packaging. Remove any labels, stickers, or plastic from the soleplate and body of the iron. Retain packaging for storage or disposal.

4.2 First Use

During the first use, the iron may emit a slight odor or light smoke as manufacturing residues burn off. This is normal and will dissipate quickly. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.

4.3 Filling the Water Tank

  1. Ensure the iron is unplugged from the electrical outlet.
  2. Hold the iron with the soleplate facing down.
  3. Open the water fill opening cover.
  4. Pour tap water into the opening until the water level reaches the 'MAX' fill line. Do not overfill.
  5. Close the water fill opening cover securely.

Note: The anti-drip system prevents water spotting by stopping water from entering the steam chamber before the iron reaches the optimal temperature.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Temperature Settings

Plug the iron into a standard electrical outlet. Turn the temperature control dial to the desired fabric setting. The indicator light will illuminate, indicating the iron is heating. It will turn off when the selected temperature is reached.

  • Low Heat: Synthetics, Silk
  • Medium Heat: Wool
  • High Heat: Cotton, Linen

5.2 Dry Ironing

For dry ironing, ensure the water tank is empty or the steam function is turned off. Set the temperature control dial to the appropriate fabric setting. Once the indicator light turns off, the iron is ready for use.

5.3 Steam Ironing (Smart Steam)

For steam ironing, ensure the water tank is filled. Set the temperature control dial to a steam-compatible setting (typically wool, cotton, or linen). The Smart Steam feature automatically adjusts steam output based on the temperature setting. Once the indicator light turns off, press the steam button to activate steam. Move the iron smoothly over the fabric.

5.4 Vertical Steam

The vertical steam function is ideal for removing wrinkles from hanging garments, drapes, or upholstery. Ensure the water tank is filled and the iron is heated to a high temperature setting. Hold the iron vertically, a few inches away from the fabric, and press the surge of steam button. Do not allow the soleplate to touch the fabric.

5.5 Spray Mist

The spray mist function helps to dampen stubborn wrinkles. Ensure the water tank is filled. Press the spray mist button to release a fine spray of water onto the fabric.

5.6 Surge of Steam

For tough wrinkles, press the surge of steam button to deliver an extra burst of steam. This can be used during horizontal or vertical ironing. Allow a few seconds between bursts for optimal steam generation.

5.7 Multi-Position Auto-Off

For safety and convenience, the iron is equipped with a multi-position auto-off feature. If left unattended, the iron will automatically shut off after a period of inactivity. To reset, simply move the iron or unplug and re-plug it.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Emptying the Water Tank

After each use, unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely. Open the water fill opening and invert the iron over a sink to drain any remaining water. This helps prevent mineral buildup.

6.2 Cleaning

  • Soleplate: To clean the non-stick soleplate, wipe it with a damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner after the iron has cooled. Do not use abrasive scouring pads or metal cleaners.
  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

6.3 Storage

Once the iron is completely cool and empty of water, store it upright on its heel rest in a safe, dry place. Do not wrap the cord tightly around the iron while it is still warm.
