Important Safeguards

Familiarize yourself with the components of your rice cooker:

Operating Instructions
Basic Rice Cooking (White/Sushi Rice)
- Measure Rice: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice. Do not overfill.
- Wash Rice: Rinse the rice thoroughly in a separate bowl until the water runs clear.
- Add to Inner Pan: Place the washed rice into the inner cooking pan.
- Add Water: Add water up to the corresponding water level mark inside the inner pan for the type and amount of rice being cooked. For example, for 3 cups of white rice, fill to the "White Rice 3" line.
- Place Pan: Place the inner cooking pan into the main body, ensuring it sits properly. Close the outer lid securely.
- Select Menu: Press the MENU button repeatedly until "WHITE/SUSHI" is selected on the LCD display.
- Start Cooking: Press the START/REHEAT button. The cooking indicator will light up, and the remaining cooking time may be displayed (or a pattern indicating cooking in progress).
- Keep Warm: Once cooking is complete, the unit will automatically switch to "KEEP WARM" mode.
- Serve: Open the lid, fluff the rice with the spatula, and serve.
Other Cooking Functions
The NS-TGC10 offers various cooking menus:
- Mixed Rice: For cooking rice with added ingredients.
- Porridge: For preparing creamy rice porridge.
- Sweet Rice: Optimized for sticky or sweet rice varieties.
- Brown Rice: Specific setting for brown rice, which requires longer cooking times.

To use these functions, select the desired menu using the MENU button and then press START/REHEAT.
Delay Timer Function
The delay timer allows you to set the rice cooker to complete cooking at a specific time.
- Prepare rice and water in the inner pan as usual.
- Press the MENU button to select your desired cooking menu.
- Press the TIMER button. The timer indicator will light up.
- Use the TIME SETTING arrows (▲ / ▼) to adjust the desired completion time.
- Press START/REHEAT. The timer will begin counting down, and cooking will start automatically to finish at the set time.
Keep Warm / Extended Keep Warm
After cooking, the unit automatically enters "KEEP WARM" mode to maintain rice at an optimal serving temperature. For longer warming periods, the "EXTENDED KEEP WARM" function can be activated (refer to specific instructions in the full manual for activation, if applicable). Press KEEP WARM to manually activate or deactivate this function.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and hygiene of your rice cooker.
- Unplug: Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Inner Cooking Pan: Wash the inner pan with warm water and mild dish soap. Use a soft sponge to avoid scratching the non-stick coating. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scrubbers.
- Inner Lid: Detach the inner lid and wash it with warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Main Body Exterior: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the main body in water or spray water directly onto it.
- Steam Vent: Clean any food particles from the steam vent cap.
- Accessories: Wash the measuring cup and spatula with warm soapy water.
- Storage: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and storing the rice cooker.
Note: The inner cooking pan is not dishwasher safe. Hand washing is recommended to preserve the non-stick coating.
