3. Setup
3.1 Charging the Battery
Before first use, fully charge the supplied NP-BG1 Lithium-ion battery. Insert the battery into the supplied battery charger and connect the charger to a power outlet. The charging indicator will light up during charging and turn off when charging is complete. A full charge typically takes approximately 2-3 hours.
3.2 Inserting the Battery and Memory Card
- Open the battery/memory card cover located on the side of the camera (refer to Image 4).
- Insert the charged NP-BG1 battery into the battery compartment with the correct orientation, ensuring it clicks into place.
- Insert a Memory Stick Duo or Memory Stick PRO Duo media card into the memory card slot until it clicks. Ensure the card is inserted with the correct side facing up.
- Close the battery/memory card cover securely.
The camera has 31 MB of internal memory, allowing you to capture a limited number of images without a memory card.
3.3 Initial Settings

4. Operating the Camera
