4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
- Slide the cover downwards to open the compartment.
- Insert one 1.5V AAA battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery compartment cover.

4.2 Temperature Unit Selection
On the back of the device, locate the small switch labeled °F/°C. Slide this switch to select your preferred temperature unit (Celsius or Fahrenheit).
4.3 Outdoor Sensor Placement
Connect the outdoor sensor cable to the designated port on the side of the main unit. Position the outdoor sensor in a location that accurately reflects the outdoor conditions. For best results, place the sensor in a shaded area, protected from direct sunlight, rain, and strong winds. Ensure the cable is routed safely and does not pose a tripping hazard.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Display Overview
The large LCD display shows four main readings:
- IN Temperature: Indoor temperature.
- IN Humidity: Indoor humidity.
- OUT Temperature: Outdoor temperature (from external sensor).
- OUT Humidity: Outdoor humidity (from external sensor).

5.2 Max./Min. Function
The device records the maximum and minimum temperature and humidity values for both indoor and outdoor measurements since the last reset.
- Press the MAX/MIN button once to display the maximum recorded values (temperature and humidity for IN and OUT).
- Press the MAX/MIN button a second time to display the minimum recorded values.
- Press the MAX/MIN button a third time to return to the current readings.
5.3 Resetting Max./Min. Values
To clear the recorded maximum and minimum values and start a new recording cycle:
- While the maximum or minimum values are displayed (after pressing MAX/MIN), press and hold the RESET button for approximately 3 seconds.
- The display will show the current values, and the max./min. memory will be cleared.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Battery Replacement
When the display becomes dim or the readings are inconsistent, it is time to replace the battery. Follow the steps in Section 4.1 Battery Installation to replace the 1.5V AAA battery.
6.2 Cleaning
Clean the device and sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Avoid getting moisture into the electronic components.
6.3 Environmental Considerations
To ensure accurate readings and prolong the life of the device:
- Keep the main unit away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and extreme temperature fluctuations.
- Ensure the outdoor sensor is protected from direct rain, snow, and strong winds. A sheltered, shaded location is ideal.
- Avoid placing the device near sources of strong electromagnetic interference.
7. Troubleshooting
