5. Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation. Ensure power is disconnected before proceeding.

5.1. Preparation

• Turn off power at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
• Gather necessary tools: screwdrivers, wire strippers, drill, appropriate mounting hardware (screws/anchors), and wire nuts (all not included).
• Unpack the fixture and inspect for any damage.

5.2. Mounting the Fixture

• Determine the desired mounting location on the ceiling for surface mounting or identify points for stem mounting.
• For surface mounting, align the fixture and mark the drilling points for securing it to the ceiling joists or using appropriate anchors.
• For stem mounting, the fixture requires a minimum of two single stem hangers (not included).
• Secure the fixture firmly to the mounting surface using the appropriate hardware. Note that the wire entry tabs are located on the top of the fixture, requiring access from above for wiring.

5.3. Wiring

• Route the electrical supply wires into the fixture's wiring compartment.
• Connect the supply wires to the fixture's pre-wired connections using wire nuts (not included). Ensure proper polarity (live to live, neutral to neutral, ground to ground).
• The fixture may feature push-lok connectors for simplified wiring. Ensure wires are fully inserted and secure.
• Carefully tuck all wires into the wiring compartment and secure any covers.

5.4. Bulb Installation

• Install two T8 fluorescent bulbs (not included) into the lamp holders by aligning the pins with the sockets and twisting gently until secure.

5.5. Diffuser Installation

• Attach the prismatic acrylic diffuser to the fixture. The hinged design allows it to snap into place or be secured with latches.

6. Operation

Once installation is complete and verified, restore power to the circuit. The fixture will illuminate immediately upon activation of the wall switch, thanks to its instant-on electronic ballast, which prevents flickering and humming.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your fixture.

7.1. Cleaning

• Always disconnect power before cleaning.
• The hinged design of the diffuser allows for easy access. Open the diffuser carefully.
• Clean the diffuser and the exterior surfaces of the fixture with a soft, damp cloth.
• Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish or acrylic diffuser.
• Ensure all parts are dry before restoring power.
