Operating Instructions

Power and Pressure Settings

Plug the unit into a suitable electrical outlet. The Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser features 10 adjustable water pressure settings, ranging from 10 to 90 PSI, delivering 1,400 pulses per minute. Use the dial on the front of the unit to select your desired pressure level. Start with a low setting and gradually increase as you become accustomed to the water pressure.

Flossing Technique

Once the water reservoir is filled and a tip is attached, place the tip firmly in your mouth, leaning over the sink. Turn on the unit using the power switch. To begin water flow, release the water stop button on the handle. Direct the water jet at a 90-degree angle to your gumline, moving along the teeth and between them. Keep your lips slightly closed to prevent splashing while allowing water to flow into the sink. The device effectively removes debris and bacteria lodged deep between teeth and below the gum-line, massaging and stimulating the gums for improved oral health.

Care and Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser, regular cleaning is essential. Rinse the item thoroughly after each usage to avoid calcification of sugar content in the reservoir and hose. Periodically clean the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth.

Tip Care

After each use, rinse the tip under running water. For a more thorough cleaning, tips can be washed with mild soap and water. Replace tips every 3-6 months, or sooner if they show signs of wear.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser, consider the following common solutions:

  • No Power: Ensure the unit is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
  • Weak Water Flow: Check that the reservoir is filled with water and the tip is firmly seated in the handle. Ensure there are no kinks in the hose.
  • Leaking: Verify that the reservoir is properly seated on the base and that the tip is securely attached.
  • Noise without Water Flow: This may indicate an empty reservoir or an airlock. Turn off the unit, refill the reservoir, and restart.

For persistent issues, refer to the official user guide or contact Waterpik customer support.
