Setup Instructions
1. Mounting and Placement
Select a suitable location for the timer, ensuring it is within reach of a grounded 120 VAC, 60 Hz outlet and the appliance to be controlled. The timer can be mounted to a wall using the integrated mounting hole. Ensure the location provides adequate protection from direct water spray if not fully covered.
2. Setting the Current Time
- Open the clear protective cover.
- Rotate the entire dial clockwise until the current time aligns with the 'TIME OF DAY' arrow. The dial is marked with AM/PM indicators (e.g., 12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1). Ensure you set the correct AM or PM time.
3. Programming ON/OFF Times
The timer uses green (ON) and red (OFF) trippers to set the operating schedule.
- Insert the green tripper(s) into the dial at the desired ON time.
- Insert the red tripper(s) into the dial at the desired OFF time.
- Each tripper represents a 30-minute interval. For longer ON/OFF periods, ensure there is a corresponding tripper at the start and end of the desired duration.
- The timer comes with 2 ON and 2 OFF trippers. Additional trippers can be purchased separately if more programming events are needed.
4. Connecting Your Appliance
- Plug the Intermatic P1101 timer into a grounded 120 VAC, 60 Hz wall outlet.
- Plug the appliance you wish to control into the receptacle on the bottom of the timer.
- Close the protective cover to shield the dial and connections from the elements.


Operating Your Timer
Automatic Operation
Once the current time is set and the ON/OFF trippers are in place, the timer will automatically turn the connected appliance ON and OFF according to the programmed schedule. The dial will continuously rotate, advancing the time.
Manual Override
