Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues during or after application, consider the following:
- Leakage: Ensure surfaces were thoroughly cleaned and dried before application. Verify that a continuous bead was applied and that parts were assembled while the silicone was still wet. Allow the full 24-hour cure time before exposing to fluids or service.
- Poor Adhesion: Surface preparation is critical. Ensure all oil, grease, and old gasket material are removed. The sealant may not adhere properly to contaminated surfaces.
- Curing Issues: Ensure the product was stored correctly and is within its shelf life. Proper ventilation during curing is also important.
