Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the hair dryer and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage.
  2. Attachment Installation:
    • To attach the comb or drying nozzle, align the attachment with the front barrel of the hair dryer and push firmly until it clicks into place.
    • To remove, gently pull the attachment off the barrel. Ensure the dryer is cool before attaching or removing accessories.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the hair dryer into a standard electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage matches the appliance's requirements (120V AC for North America).

Operating Instructions

The CHI Rocket Hair Dryer offers versatile settings for optimal styling.

  1. Power On/Off: Locate the power switch on the handle. Slide it to the "I" position for low speed or "II" for high speed to turn the dryer on. Slide to "O" to turn it off.
  2. Adjusting Heat Settings: The dryer features a heat control switch. Select the desired heat level (e.g., low, medium, high) based on your hair type and styling needs. The LED lights on the barrel indicate the heat level.
  3. Using the Cool Shot Button: Press and hold the cool shot button to instantly deliver a burst of cool air. This is ideal for setting your hairstyle and adding shine.
  4. Using the Comb Attachment: Attach the comb for smoothing out frizzy hair and creating straight styles. Guide the comb through sections of hair while drying.
  5. Using the Drying Nozzle (Concentrator): Attach the drying nozzle for precise styling and directing airflow to specific sections of hair. This is useful for straightening or creating volume.
  6. Drying Technique: For best results, towel-dry hair to remove excess moisture before blow-drying. Section your hair and dry from roots to ends.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your CHI Rocket Hair Dryer.

  1. Cleaning the Air Filter:
    • Ensure the hair dryer is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning.
    • Twist or pull off the rear filter cover (refer to diagram if available on product).
    • Remove any accumulated lint, dust, or hair from the filter screen using a soft brush or vacuum cleaner.
    • Replace the filter cover securely. Clean the filter regularly, especially if you notice reduced airflow.
  2. Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the hair dryer with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  3. Cord Care: Do not wrap the power cord around the hair dryer, as this can damage the cord. Store the cord loosely coiled.
