Introduction
The BUNN GRB Velocity Brew 10-Cup Home Coffee Brewer is designed for speed and convenience, ensuring a perfect cup of coffee every time. Featuring BUNN Speed Brew Technology, this coffeemaker utilizes an internal commercial-grade stainless steel hot water tank that keeps 70 ounces of water continuously hot and ready to brew on demand. This innovative design allows for a full 10-cup carafe to be brewed in approximately three minutes, significantly faster than typical coffee makers.
Key features include a classic black finish with a stainless-steel faceplate, an exclusive drip-free carafe for clean pouring, and a multi-stream sprayhead that evenly showers hot water over coffee grounds for optimal flavor extraction. The unit is designed and assembled in the USA and comes with a 3-year warranty.

Setup
Before first use, or if the brewer has been unplugged for an extended period, a one-time initial setup process is required to fill the internal hot water tank.
- Ensure the brewer is placed on a flat, stable surface near a grounded electrical outlet.
- Insert a BUNN filter into the brew funnel.
- Place the empty carafe on the warmer plate.
- Pour a full carafe (10 cups) of fresh, cold water into the top reservoir. The water will flow into the internal hot water tank.
- Allow approximately 15-20 minutes for the water to heat up. The warmer plate switch should be in the "ON" position (red light illuminated).
- Once the water is hot, pour additional carafes of fresh, cold water into the brewer as needed until the water dispensed has no vinegar smell or taste (if a cleaning solution was used previously). This purges any residual flavors from the system.
- The brewer is now ready for regular use.

Operating Instructions
The BUNN GRB Velocity Brew is designed for quick and efficient coffee brewing. Follow these steps for daily operation:
- Ensure the brewer is plugged in and the warmer plate switch is in the "ON" position (red light illuminated) to keep the internal tank hot.
- Place a fresh BUNN filter into the brew funnel.
- Add your desired amount of ground coffee to the filter. For best results, use a medium grind.
- Slide the brew funnel back into its position under the sprayhead.
- Place the empty carafe on the warmer plate.
- Pour a full carafe (or desired amount) of fresh, cold water into the top reservoir. The brewing process will begin immediately as the cold water displaces the hot water in the internal tank.
- A full 10-cup pot of coffee will brew in approximately 3-4 minutes. For a single travel mug (20oz), brewing takes about 2 minutes.
- Once brewing is complete, the warmer plate will keep your coffee at an optimal serving temperature. Remember to turn off the warmer plate when the carafe is empty or if you are not planning to consume the coffee immediately.

Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your BUNN coffee brewer.
Daily Cleaning:
- Carafe: Wash the carafe and lid with mild soap and warm water after each use. The exclusive drip-free design helps minimize mess.
- Brew Funnel: Remove and rinse the brew funnel after each use.
- Exterior: Wipe down the exterior of the brewer with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the brewer in water.
Periodic Descaling (Every 3-6 months, depending on water hardness):
Mineral deposits can build up in the internal tank and lines, affecting performance. Descaling is crucial.
- Unplug the brewer and allow it to cool completely.
- Remove the brew funnel and carafe.
- Pour a descaling solution (e.g., white vinegar or a commercial descaler) into the top reservoir. Follow the descaler manufacturer's instructions for quantity.
- Allow the solution to sit in the tank for 1-2 hours.
- After soaking, place the empty carafe on the warmer plate and pour several carafes of fresh, cold water through the brewer until the tank is flushed and the water runs clear and free of descaler residue.
- Run several cycles with plain fresh water to ensure all descaling solution is removed.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Coffee does not brew. | Brewer not plugged in or warmer switch is off. Internal tank is not filled. | Ensure brewer is plugged into a grounded outlet and warmer switch is ON. Perform initial setup to fill the tank. |
| Coffee tastes weak or bitter. | Incorrect coffee grind size or quantity. Mineral buildup. | Use a medium grind and adjust coffee quantity to taste. Descale the brewer regularly. |
| Brew funnel overflows. | Too fine a grind, too much coffee, or filter not properly seated. | Use a coarser grind or less coffee. Ensure BUNN filter is correctly placed and not folded. |
| Water not hot enough. | Warmer switch is off or insufficient time for initial heating. | Ensure warmer switch is ON. Allow 15-20 minutes for initial heating after setup or power interruption. |
