Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the display and sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in both units approximately every 9-12 months, or when the low battery indicator appears.
  • Sensor Protection: Ensure the outdoor sensor is protected from extreme weather conditions and direct prolonged sunlight.

Troubleshooting

No Outdoor Temperature Display / Flashing Dashes:

  • Ensure both units are within range (max 330 ft / 100 m).
  • Reposition both units. Walls, large metal surfaces, and other electronics can interfere with the wireless signal.
  • Perform a hard reset: Remove batteries from both units, wait 1 minute, then reinsert batteries into the outdoor sensor first, followed by the main display unit.

Inaccurate Temperature Readings:

  • Ensure the outdoor sensor is placed in a shaded area, away from direct sunlight or heat sources (e.g., exhaust vents, windows).
  • Allow 20 minutes for temperatures to stabilize after initial setup or relocation.

Display Screen Not Working:

  • Check battery installation and replace if necessary.
  • Press the "LIGHT" button to ensure the backlight is not just off.
