6.2 System Mode Selection

Use the SYSTEM switch located on the side of the thermostat to select the operating mode:

  • HEAT: Activates the heating system when the room temperature falls below your set temperature.
  • OFF: Turns off both heating and cooling systems.
  • COOL: Activates the cooling system when the room temperature rises above your set temperature.

6.3 Fan Mode Selection

Use the FAN switch located on the side of the thermostat to select the fan operation mode:

  • AUTO: The fan runs only when the heating or cooling system is actively operating.
  • ON: The fan runs continuously, regardless of whether the heating or cooling system is active.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Battery Replacement

When the battery indicator appears on the display, replace the two AA alkaline batteries promptly. Open the battery compartment at the bottom of the thermostat, remove old batteries, and insert new ones, ensuring correct polarity. The thermostat retains settings during battery changes.

7.2 Cleaning

Clean the thermostat's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

8. Troubleshooting

If your thermostat is not functioning as expected, consider the following:

  • No Display: Check if batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
  • System Not Responding: Ensure the SYSTEM switch is set to HEAT or COOL, not OFF. Verify the fan switch is in the desired position (AUTO or ON). Check your circuit breaker for the HVAC system.
  • Incorrect Temperature Reading: Allow the thermostat to acclimate to the room temperature for at least 15 minutes after installation or significant temperature changes.
  • Heating/Cooling Cycles Too Frequently/Infrequently: Adjust the temperature swing settings (9-step control) to fine-tune the cycle frequency.
