Introduction
The Mr. Coffee 12-Cup Electric Coffee Grinder and Spice Grinder (Model IDS77) is designed to provide freshly ground coffee beans with variable grind settings. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and care of your new appliance.

Setup
1. Unpacking and Initial Cleaning
Carefully remove all packaging materials. Wash the removable grinding chamber and lid in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the grinder base with a damp cloth.
2. Assembling the Grinder
Place the clean, dry grinding chamber back into the grinder base. Ensure it is securely seated. Place the lid onto the grinding chamber and twist it clockwise until it locks into place. The grinder will not operate unless the lid is properly secured.
3. Filling with Coffee Beans
Open the flip-open lid on the grinding chamber. Fill the chamber with fresh, whole coffee beans. Do not fill past the 'MAX FILL' line indicated on the chamber. Refer to the 'Coffee Measurement Chart' in the Operating section for recommended quantities.

Operating Instructions
1. Select Cup Quantity
Plug the grinder into a standard electrical outlet. Use the 'Cups' arrow buttons (up/down) to select the desired number of cups (4, 6, 8, 10, or 12). The corresponding LED indicator will illuminate.
2. Select Grind Setting
Use the 'Grind' arrow buttons (up/down) to select your preferred grind setting: Fine, Medium, or Coarse. The corresponding LED indicator will illuminate.

3. Start Grinding
Press and hold the 'Grind' button located on the top of the lid. The grinder will begin operation. Release the button to stop grinding manually, or allow the automatic shut-off timer to complete the cycle based on your selected settings.

Note: 1 level tablespoon (Tbsp.) = 5 gr. / 0.17 oz. Use more or less coffee to suit your taste.

Maintenance and Cleaning
1. Cleaning the Grinding Chamber
After each use, unplug the grinder. Remove the lid and then twist the grinding chamber counter-clockwise to remove it from the base. Empty any remaining ground coffee. The removable grinding chamber can be washed in warm, soapy water or placed on the top rack of a dishwasher. The Chamber Maid Cleaning System helps dislodge grounds from the chamber walls during removal.
2. Cleaning the Lid and Base
Wipe the lid with a damp cloth. The grinder base should only be wiped with a damp cloth; never immerse the base in water or any other liquid.
3. Storage
Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and storing the grinder. The power cord can be wrapped around the base for compact storage.
Troubleshooting
