Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert one CR2450 mercury-free lithium battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). The battery is included with your scale.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
2. Scale Placement
Place the scale on a hard, flat, and level surface to ensure accurate readings. Avoid placing it on soft or uneven surfaces like carpets.
Operating Instructions
1. Turning On/Off
- To turn on the scale, press the ON/OFF button. The display will show "8888" and then "0.0" or "0g" when ready.
- The scale features an automatic shut-off function to conserve battery power. It will turn off after a period of inactivity.
- To manually turn off the scale, press and hold the ON/OFF button for a few seconds.
2. Weighing Items
- Turn on the scale.
- Ensure the display reads "0.0" or "0g".
- Place the item to be weighed directly onto the tempered glass platform.
- Read the weight displayed on the LCD screen.
3. Tare Function (Add & Weigh)
The tare function allows you to weigh multiple ingredients consecutively in the same container, or to subtract the weight of a container to get the net weight of its contents.
- Place an empty container on the scale. The display will show its weight.
- Press the TARE button (often labeled with a "T" or "Zero" symbol). The display will reset to "0.0" or "0g".
- Add the first ingredient to the container. The display will show the weight of only the ingredient.
- To add another ingredient, press the TARE button again to reset the display to "0.0" and then add the next ingredient. Repeat as needed.

4. Unit Conversion
To switch between measurement units (e.g., ounces, grams, pounds), press the UNIT button. The display will cycle through the available units.
Maintenance
Cleaning
- The tempered glass platform is stain and odor resistant and easy to clean.
- Wipe the scale with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
- Do not immerse the scale in water or use abrasive cleaning agents.
- Dry thoroughly after cleaning.
Storage
Store the scale in a cool, dry place. Avoid extreme temperatures and high humidity.
Troubleshooting
- "Err" Message: If the display shows "Err", this typically indicates an overload or an unstable reading. Remove the item from the scale, ensure it is on a flat surface, and try again. If the error persists, the scale may be faulty or the battery may be low.
- Inaccurate Readings:
- Ensure the scale is placed on a hard, level surface.
- Check if the battery is low and replace it if necessary.
- Avoid placing the scale near strong electromagnetic fields or vibrating surfaces.
- Scale Does Not Turn On:
- Check if the battery is installed correctly with the correct polarity.
- Replace the battery with a new CR2450 battery.
