Controls and Indicators:

Setup
1. Powering the Unit
Your CD player can be powered by either batteries or the included AC power cord.
Battery Installation:
- Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the unit.
- Insert 2 x "AA" size batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
- Note: The unit features a low battery indicator on the LCD display. Replace batteries when this indicator appears.
AC Power Connection:
- Insert the small end of the included AC power cord into the DC IN jack on the side of the CD player.
- Plug the other end of the power cord into a standard AC wall outlet.
- Note: When the AC adapter is connected, battery power is automatically disconnected.
2. Connecting Headphones
Plug your stereo headphones into the HEADPHONE jack on the side of the unit. Ensure the plug is fully inserted for proper audio output.
Operating Instructions
Playing a CD
- Slide the OPEN switch to open the CD compartment lid.
- Place a CD (or CD-R/RW) with the label side facing up onto the center spindle.
- Gently close the CD compartment lid until it clicks shut.
- Press the PLAY/PAUSE button. The CD player will begin reading the disc, and the first track will start playing.
- Adjust the VOLUME control to your desired listening level.
- To pause playback, press PLAY/PAUSE. Press again to resume.
- To stop playback, press the STOP button.
- To skip to the next track, press the >> button. To go back to the beginning of the current track or previous track, press the << button.
- To fast forward or rewind within a track, press and hold the >> or << button respectively.
Using the FM Radio
- Ensure no CD is playing. If a CD is playing, press STOP.
- Press the FM SCAN button. The radio will automatically scan for the next available FM station and begin playing it.
- Press FM SCAN again to search for the next station.
- Adjust the VOLUME control as needed.
- Note: The unit does not display the exact FM frequency. It scans to the next strong signal.
Anti-Skip Protection (ASP)
The CDPR6205 features a 60-second Anti-Skip Protection system. This system buffers audio data, allowing for continuous playback even if the unit experiences minor shocks or vibrations. This feature is automatically active during CD playback.
Dynamic Bass Boost System (DBBS)
To enhance the bass frequencies of your audio, slide the DBBS switch to the ON position. Slide it to OFF to disable the bass boost.
HOLD Function
Slide the HOLD switch to the ON position to disable all buttons. This prevents accidental button presses during transport. Slide it to OFF to enable button functionality.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Unit
- Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- To clean the CD lens, use a commercially available CD lens cleaner disc.
Battery Care
- Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
- Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
Troubleshooting
