3. Setup and Preparation
- Surface Preparation: Ensure all surfaces to be bonded or sealed are clean, dry, and free from oil, stains, and old adhesive layers. Use a scraper or appropriate cleaning agent if necessary.
- Open the Tube: Unscrew the cap. The tube may have a sealed opening that needs to be punctured.
- Prepare Nozzle: Cut the nozzle to achieve the desired bead size for your application. A smaller cut will produce a finer bead, while a larger cut will produce a thicker bead.

4. Operating (Application)
- Apply Sealant: Apply a continuous and even bead of sealant directly onto one of the joint surfaces. The coating thickness should be appropriate for the gap being filled.
- Allow to Dry: Let the applied sealant stand for 8-12 minutes to allow the surface to begin drying.
- Assemble Parts: While the sealant is still tacky, assemble the parts.
- Fasten Connection: When tightening fasteners, apply uniform and appropriate force. Ensure the sealing surface is not moved during tightening to maintain an effective seal.
5. Curing and Maintenance
- Full Cure Time: Allow the adhesive layer to fully cure for 24 hours before using the vehicle or applying stress to the sealed joint.
- Cleaning Excess Sealant: Excess uncured sealant can be wiped away with a cloth. Once cured, excess sealant can be trimmed with a sharp knife.
- Nozzle Maintenance: To reuse the applicator nozzle, clean any remaining sealant from the nozzle using hot water. Silicone becomes more liquidy with hot water, making it easier to wash out.
