4. Package Contents
Verify that all components are present before beginning installation:

Note: Incandescent bulb (A19 shape, E26 base, up to 150W) and wire nuts are not included and must be purchased separately.
5. Installation
Follow these steps for proper installation of your Woods L1707SV light fixture:
- Turn Off Power: Before starting, ensure the power to the installation area is turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse box to prevent electrical shock.
- Prepare Mounting Surface: Identify a suitable wall-mount location. The fixture is designed for surface mounting and includes a 1/2-inch IPS thread on the top and sides for conduit connections.
- Attach Mounting Plate: Secure the fixture's mounting plate to the wall using the provided screws and anchors. Ensure it is firmly attached to a stud or with appropriate wall anchors for stability.
- Wire Connections: Connect the fixture's wires to your household wiring. Typically, this involves connecting the black wire (hot) to the black wire, the white wire (neutral) to the white wire, and the ground wire to the ground wire. Use appropriate wire nuts (not included) and ensure all connections are secure.
- Install Bulb: Carefully screw an incandescent bulb (up to 150W, A19 shape, E26 base) into the porcelain socket. Do not overtighten.
- Secure Glass Lens and Cage: Place the tempered glass lens over the bulb and secure it. Then, attach the metal cage over the glass lens, ensuring it is tightly fastened to maintain the weather-tight seal and protect the bulb.
- Apply Seals: For outdoor or wet locations, ensure all rubber seals are properly seated to maintain the weather-tight integrity of the fixture.
- Restore Power: Once installation is complete and all components are secure, restore power at the circuit breaker.
Consult a qualified electrician if you are unsure about any part of the installation process.
6. Operation
The Woods L1707SV light fixture operates via a standard wall switch (push button type recommended). Once installed and powered, simply toggle the connected wall switch to turn the light on or off.
- On/Off Control: Use the wall switch connected to the fixture's circuit to control the light.
- Light Output: The fixture provides general illumination. The brightness will depend on the wattage of the incandescent bulb installed (up to 150W).
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your light fixture.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the fixture with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish or glass.
- Bulb Replacement: To replace the bulb, first turn off power at the circuit breaker. Carefully unscrew the metal cage and then the tempered glass lens. Replace the old bulb with a new incandescent bulb (up to 150W, A19 shape, E26 base). Reassemble the glass lens and cage, ensuring all seals are properly seated.
- Inspect Seals: Annually inspect the rubber seals for any signs of wear or damage, especially if the fixture is exposed to harsh weather conditions. Replace damaged seals to maintain weather-tight integrity.
- Check Connections: Occasionally check the mounting and electrical connections to ensure they remain secure.
8. Troubleshooting
If your light fixture is not functioning correctly, refer to the following common issues and solutions:
