Setup

Powering the Device

The GPX Portable Compact Disc Player can be powered by two methods:

• Batteries: Insert four (4) "AA" size batteries (not included) into the battery compartment located on the underside of the player. Ensure correct polarity (+/-) as indicated.
• AC Adapter: Connect a 6V AC adapter (not included) to the DC IN jack on the side of the player. Plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet.

Operating Instructions

Loading a CD

1. Press the OPEN button to open the disc compartment lid.
2. Carefully place a compact disc onto the center spindle with the label side facing up.
3. Gently close the disc compartment lid until it clicks shut. Ensure the lid is fully closed to prevent playback issues.

Basic Playback

• Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playback. The track number will appear on the 2-digit digital display.
• Press PLAY/PAUSE again to pause playback. Press it once more to resume.
• Press the STOP button to stop playback.
• To skip to the next track, press the SKIP ►► button.
• To go back to the beginning of the current track or to the previous track, press the SKIP ◄◄ button.
• To fast forward or rewind within a track, press and hold the respective SKIP button.

Advanced Features

• Program Function: The player features 24-track programmable memory.
  1. While in STOP mode, press the PROG. button. The program indicator will flash.

• Hold Function: The Hold On/Off switch prevents accidental button presses. When activated, all buttons are locked.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Player

• Wipe the exterior of the player with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• For the lens, use a specialized CD lens cleaner disc or a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses. Avoid touching the lens directly.

Disc Care

• Handle discs by their edges to avoid fingerprints on the playing surface.
• Store discs in their cases when not in use to protect them from dust and scratches.
• Clean dirty discs with a soft, lint-free cloth, wiping gently from the center outwards.

Battery Replacement

When the player's performance degrades or the display dims, it's time to replace the batteries. Ensure the player is turned off before replacing batteries.
