1. Introduction

The Sunpentown SPTusa Portable Ice Maker IM-100 is a self-contained appliance designed for convenient ice production. 4.1 Unpacking

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Filling the Water Reservoir

Open the lid and fill the water reservoir with potable water up to the MAX fill line. Do not overfill. Close the lid securely.

5.2 Powering On and Ice Size Selection

Press the "ON/OFF" button to start the ice making process. The unit will automatically begin a cycle. Use the "SELECT" button to choose your desired ice cube size: Small, Medium, or Large. The indicator light next to the selected size will illuminate.

5.3 Ice Production Cycle

The ice maker will draw water from the reservoir, freeze it onto the evaporator rods, and then release the ice into the ice basket. The first batch of ice typically takes 6-10 minutes. Subsequent batches may be faster.

5.4 Indicators

• ADD WATER Indicator: This light will illuminate when the water reservoir is low and needs refilling. The ice making process will pause until water is added.
• ICE FULL Indicator: This light will illuminate when the ice basket is full. The ice making process will pause until some ice is removed.

5.5 Harvesting Ice

Once ice is produced, you can remove the ice basket to collect the cubes. For best results and to prevent melting, transfer the ice to a freezer for storage.

6.1 Daily Cleaning

3. Pour the solution into the water reservoir.

5. Drain the solution completely.
6. Rinse the reservoir thoroughly with clean water and run 2-3 cycles with fresh water, discarding the ice, to remove any residual cleaning solution taste.

6.3 Storage

If the ice maker will not be used for an extended period, drain all water, clean the unit thoroughly, and ensure it is completely dry. Store it in a cool, dry place with the lid slightly ajar to allow for air circulation and prevent mold or mildew growth.
