Setup
1. Powering the Device
The JX-CD313 can be powered by either batteries or the included AC power cord.
Using AC Power:
- Insert the small end of the power cord into the DC IN jack on the side of the CD player.
- Plug the other end of the power cord into a standard wall outlet.
Installing Batteries:
- Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert the required number of AA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
2. Connecting Headphones or External Speakers
To listen to audio, connect headphones or external speakers to the AUX OUT or HEADPHONE jack (3.5mm) on the side of the unit.
Operating Instructions
1. Basic Controls
Familiarize yourself with the main controls located on the top of the CD player:
- PLAY/PAUSE (►/−): Press to start or pause playback.
- STOP (■): Press to stop playback.
- SKIP/SEARCH (◀◀ / ►►): Press briefly to skip tracks. Press and hold to fast-forward or rewind within a track.
- VOLUME (+/-): Adjusts the audio output level.
- MODE: Selects different playback modes (e.g., Repeat One, Repeat All, Random).
- PROGRAM: Used to program a custom playback order for tracks.
- OPEN: Slide or press to open the CD compartment lid.
2. Playing a CD
- Slide or press the OPEN button to open the CD compartment lid.
- Carefully place a CD onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
- Close the CD compartment lid securely.
- Press the PLAY/PAUSE button (►) to begin playback.
- Adjust the volume using the VOLUME (+/-) buttons.
3. Playback Modes
Press the MODE button repeatedly to cycle through available playback options:
- Normal Play: Plays tracks in order.
- Repeat One (REP 1): Repeats the current track.
- Repeat All (REP ALL): Repeats all tracks on the CD.
- Random (RND): Plays tracks in a random order.
4. Programming Tracks
- With the CD stopped, press the PROGRAM button. The display will show "P01".
- Use the SKIP/SEARCH buttons (◀◀ / ►►) to select the desired track for the first program slot.
- Press PROGRAM again to confirm the track and move to the next program slot ("P02").
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 until all desired tracks are programmed.
- Press PLAY/PAUSE (►) to start playing the programmed sequence.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Unit
- Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- For the optical lens, use a specialized CD lens cleaner disc (not included) if playback issues occur due to dust.
CD Handling
- Always hold CDs by their edges.
- Store CDs in their cases to prevent scratches and dust accumulation.
- Clean dirty CDs with a soft, lint-free cloth, wiping from the center outwards.
Battery Care
- Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
- Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
Troubleshooting
