1. Product Overview

The Timex Ironman Triathlon Classic 100 is a multi-function digital sports watch designed for focused sports training. It features a durable resin construction and a range of timing functions to support athletic activities.

Key features include a 100-hour chronograph with lap or split option, 100-lap memory recall, 199 lap counter, on-the-fly recall of lap or split, interval timers settable up to 24 hours (9 timers with countdown/stop and countdown/repeat), two time zones, built-in setting reminders, and water resistance to 100 meters.

2. Setup

2.1 Setting Time and Date

  1. Press and hold the SET button (top left) until the display flashes.
  2. Use the MODE button (middle left) to cycle through settings (hours, minutes, seconds, month, day, year).
  3. Use the START/SPLIT button (bottom front) to adjust the flashing value.
  4. Press SET again to confirm and exit setting mode.

2.2 Activating INDIGLO Night-Light (FLIX Technology)

The INDIGLO night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial. For hands-free activation using FLIX technology:

  1. Press and hold the INDIGLO button (top right) for three seconds until it beeps to activate Night-Mode.
  2. Once Night-Mode is active, a sharp forward flick of your wrist with a sudden stop will illuminate the night-light for 5 seconds.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Chronograph Function

The chronograph measures elapsed time up to 100 hours with 100-lap memory.

  1. From time mode, press MODE until "CHRONO" appears.
  2. Press START/SPLIT to begin timing.
  3. Press START/SPLIT again to record a lap/split time. The display will show the current lap time and total elapsed time.
  4. Press STOP/RESET (bottom right) to pause the chronograph. Press again to reset to zero.
  5. To recall stored laps, press RECALL (top left) while in chronograph mode.

3.2 Timer Function

The watch features a 24-hour countdown timer with options for countdown/stop and countdown/repeat.

  1. From time mode, press MODE until "TIMER" appears.
  2. Press SET to adjust the timer duration. Use MODE to select digits and START/SPLIT to change values.
  3. Press START/SPLIT to start the countdown.
  4. The timer will beep when it reaches zero.

3.3 Alarm Function

Set up to 5 customizable alarms.

  1. From time mode, press MODE until "ALARM" appears.
  2. Press SET to select an alarm and adjust its time.
  3. Use START/SPLIT to turn the alarm ON/OFF.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Water Resistance

This watch is water-resistant to 100 meters (330 feet). It is suitable for snorkeling, swimming, and showering, but not for diving. Avoid pressing buttons underwater to prevent water ingress.

4.2 Battery Replacement

The watch uses 1 Lithium Metal battery (included). Battery life varies with usage, typically lasting 1.5 to 2 years. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified technician to ensure the water resistance seal is maintained.

4.3 Cleaning

Clean the watch with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the resin case or acrylic lens.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Display is blank: The battery may be depleted. Replace the battery.
  • Time is incorrect: Re-enter time and date settings as described in Section 2.1.
  • Water appears inside the watch: Immediately cease use and contact customer support. Water resistance may have been compromised.
