1. Introduction

2. Setup

2.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure the following items are present:

  • JACOB JENSEN T-1 Telephone unit
  • Handset cord (coiled)
  • Telephone line cord

2.2 Connecting the Telephone

  1. Connect one end of the coiled handset cord into the port on the telephone unit and the other end into the handset.
  2. Connect one end of the telephone line cord into the designated port on the telephone unit.
  3. Plug the other end of the telephone line cord into a standard telephone wall jack.

2.3 Placement Options

The JACOB JENSEN T-1 can be placed on a flat surface using its integrated stand or mounted on a wall.

  • Desk Placement: Position the telephone on a stable, flat surface. The integrated stand allows for an optimal viewing and operating angle.
  • Wall Mounting: For wall mounting, use appropriate screws (not included) to secure the telephone to a wall. Ensure the mounting surface is sturdy.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Making a Call

  1. Lift the handset from the telephone unit.
  2. Listen for a dial tone.
  3. Enter the desired telephone number using the keypad.
  4. Wait for the call to connect.
  5. To end the call, replace the handset on the telephone unit.

3.2 Receiving a Call

  1. When the telephone rings, lift the handset to answer the call.
  2. To end the call, replace the handset on the telephone unit.

3.3 Keypad Functions

The telephone features a single keypad for dialing and special functions. The keypad is typically located on the underside or within a pull-out section of the main unit.

  • Numerical Keys (0-9): Used for dialing phone numbers.
  • * (Star) and # (Pound) Keys: Used for special services or menu navigation as required by your telephone service provider.
  • M1, M2 Keys: These are typically memory keys for storing and quickly dialing frequently used numbers. Refer to your service provider's instructions for programming these keys if supported.
  • R (Recall) Key: Used for accessing network services such as call waiting or transferring calls.
  • P (Pause) Key: Inserts a pause in a dialed number, useful for dialing through automated systems.

Note: This model does not support Caller Identification (Caller ID) display.
