Setup
The BIG RED T43004 jack stands require minimal assembly. The base is designed to be removable for compact storage and needs to be securely attached before first use.
- Unpack all components and verify that all parts are present.
- Align the main support column with the base.
- Insert the provided screw into the bottom of the base and thread it into the support column. Tighten securely with a flat-head screwdriver to ensure the stand is stable and does not wobble.
- Ensure the locking support pin is attached to the chain and inserted into the support column.

Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to safely use your jack stands:
- Prepare the Vehicle: Park the vehicle on a hard, level surface. Engage the parking brake and block the wheels that will remain on the ground.
- Lift the Vehicle: Use a suitable vehicle jack to lift the vehicle to the desired height. Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual for proper jacking points.
- Position Jack Stands: Place the jack stands under the vehicle's designated support points (e.g., frame rails, axle housing). Ensure the saddle of the jack stand makes full contact with the support point.
- Adjust Height: Remove the locking support pin. Adjust the inner column to the desired height, ensuring it aligns with one of the 6 locking positions. Reinsert the locking support pin completely through both sides of the column and secure it.
- Lower onto Stands: Slowly and carefully lower the vehicle onto the jack stands using the vehicle jack. Ensure the vehicle is stable and securely resting on both jack stands before removing the jack.
- Verify Stability: Gently shake the vehicle to confirm it is stable on the jack stands. If there is any instability, re-lift the vehicle and reposition the stands.
- Remove Jack Stands: When work is complete, use the vehicle jack to lift the vehicle slightly off the jack stands. Remove the locking support pins, lower the inner column, and then remove the jack stands. Finally, lower the vehicle completely to the ground.

Maintenance
- Regular Inspection: Before each use, inspect the jack stands for any signs of damage, cracks, bends, or corrosion. Pay close attention to the support pins, adjustment holes, and base.
- Cleaning: Clean the jack stands with a damp cloth to remove dirt, grease, and debris. Do not use harsh chemicals that could damage the aluminum finish.
- Storage: Store the jack stands in a dry, clean area when not in use. The removable base allows for compact storage.
- Lubrication: Periodically apply a light coat of grease or oil to the inner column and locking pin to ensure smooth operation and prevent corrosion.
