Introduction
Tamiya acrylic paints are made from water-soluble acrylic resins and are excellent for either brush painting or airbrushing. These paints can be used on styrol resins, Styrofoam, wood, plus all of the common model plastics. The paint covers well, flows smoothly, and can be blended easily. This manual provides instructions for the proper use and care of your Tamiya Acrylic XF26 Deep Green paint.

Operating Instructions
Brush Painting
Apply the paint directly to your model using a suitable brush. For best results, apply thin, even coats. Allow each coat to dry completely before applying the next. The paint dries quickly, allowing for efficient layering.
Airbrushing
When airbrushing, it is essential to thin the paint to achieve the correct consistency for your equipment. Use any of the following Tamiya thinners: 81020, 81030, 81040, 81520, 87077. Start with a thinning ratio of approximately 1 part paint to 1-2 parts thinner, and adjust as needed for optimal flow and coverage with your airbrush setup. Always ensure proper ventilation when airbrushing.
Maintenance
Cleaning Tools
Clean brushes and airbrush equipment immediately after use with water or Tamiya X-20A Acrylic Thinner. Do not allow paint to dry on tools, as this can make cleaning difficult and damage equipment.
Storage
Store the paint bottle in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the cap is tightly sealed after each use to prevent the paint from drying out and to maintain its quality.
Troubleshooting
Paint Too Thick / Clogging Airbrush
If the paint appears too thick or clogs the airbrush, increase the thinning ratio slightly. Ensure the paint is thoroughly mixed before thinning and that your airbrush nozzle is clean.
Poor Coverage
For better coverage, apply multiple thin coats rather than one thick coat. Ensure the surface is clean and properly prepared. Adjust thinning ratio if paint is too thin.
