5. Setup
5.1. Powering the Unit
The SB3703PB can be powered by two (2) AA batteries (not included) for portable use or via a Micro USB cable connected to a computer or USB power adapter (not included).
- Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the unit. Insert two (2) AA (UM-3) batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the cover securely.
- USB Power: Connect a Micro USB cable (not included) to the Micro USB port on the unit and the other end to a powered USB port.
5.2. Connecting Headphones
Insert the 3.5mm plug of the included stereo earbuds or your preferred headphones into the Headphone Jack on the side of the unit.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. CD Playback

- Slide the OFF POWER ON switch to the 'ON' position.
- Press the 'OPEN' button or slide the latch to open the CD compartment cover.
- Carefully place an audio CD or MP3 CD onto the center spindle, label side up. Ensure the disc is seated correctly.
- Close the CD compartment cover firmly until it clicks.
- Press the Play/Pause (►/||) button to begin playback. The LCD will display the track number and elapsed time.
- To pause, press Play/Pause (►/||) again. Press it once more to resume.
- To stop playback, press the Stop (■) button.
- Skipping Tracks: During playback, press Skip/Search (►►) to go to the next track, or Skip/Search (◀◀) to go to the beginning of the current track. Press Skip/Search (◀◀) twice quickly to go to the previous track.
- Searching Within a Track: During playback, press and hold Skip/Search (►►) or Skip/Search (◀◀) to fast-forward or rewind. Release the button to resume normal playback.
- Volume Adjustment: Use the Volume (+/-) buttons to increase or decrease the listening volume.
- DBBS (Bass Boost): Slide the DBBS switch to 'ON' for enhanced bass sound.
- Anti-Skip Protection (ASP): The unit features 60-second anti-skip protection. Ensure the ASP function is enabled for uninterrupted playback during movement.
- Programmable Memory: The player can store up to 24 tracks in a custom playback order. Refer to the detailed programming instructions in the full manual for specific steps.

6.2. FM Radio Operation
- Slide the OFF POWER ON switch to the 'ON' position.
- Press the FUNCTION button repeatedly until 'FM' appears on the LCD display.
- Tuning: Use the Tuner (▼ / ▲) buttons to manually tune to your desired FM frequency. Press and hold to auto-scan for the next available station.
- Preset Stations: To save a station, tune to it, then press the PROG/MODE button. Use the Preset (▼ / ▲) buttons to select a preset number, then press PROG/MODE again to confirm.
- To recall a saved station, press the Preset (▼ / ▲) buttons to cycle through your presets.
