- Never exceed the rated capacity of 2.5 tons (5,000 lbs).
- Use this jack only on a hard, level surface. Avoid uneven ground or soft surfaces.
- Always use appropriate jack stands to support the vehicle after lifting. The jack is a lifting device only, not a vehicle support device.
- Ensure the vehicle's parking brake is engaged and wheels are chocked before lifting.
- Center the load on the jack saddle. Off-center loads can cause the jack to tip.
- Do not work under a vehicle supported only by a jack.
- Keep hands and feet clear of moving parts and the area under the vehicle.
- Wear appropriate safety gear, including eye protection.
- Do not modify the jack or use it for purposes other than its intended use.

Setup and Initial Use
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the jack from its packaging. Inspect for any damage that may have occurred during shipping. Do not use if damaged.
- Handle Assembly: Insert the two-piece handle into the handle socket on the jack. Secure it according to the manufacturer's instructions, ensuring it is fully seated. The handle is 28 inches long.
- Bleeding the Hydraulic System: Before first use, or if the jack has been stored for an extended period, it may be necessary to bleed air from the hydraulic system. To do this:
- Turn the release valve counter-clockwise one full turn to open it.
- Pump the handle rapidly 10-15 times without a load.
- Turn the release valve clockwise to close it.
- Test the jack by lifting it to its full height and then lowering it. Repeat if necessary until the jack operates smoothly.
Operating Instructions
Lifting a Vehicle
- Park the vehicle on a hard, level surface. Engage the parking brake and chock the wheels that will remain on the ground.
- Locate the vehicle manufacturer's recommended lifting points. Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual.
- Position the jack so the saddle is directly under the designated lifting point. Ensure the load is centered on the saddle.
- Close the release valve by turning the handle clockwise until it is firm. Do not overtighten.
- Pump the handle to raise the jack and lift the vehicle to the desired height. Observe the vehicle and jack during lifting to ensure stability.
- Once the vehicle is lifted, immediately place appropriately rated jack stands under the vehicle's frame or designated support points.
- Slowly open the release valve by turning the handle counter-clockwise to lower the vehicle onto the jack stands. Ensure the vehicle is securely resting on the jack stands before performing any work.
Lowering a Vehicle
- Ensure all tools and personnel are clear from under the vehicle.
- Close the release valve by turning the handle clockwise.
- Pump the jack handle to slightly raise the vehicle off the jack stands.
- Remove the jack stands from under the vehicle.
- Slowly and carefully open the release valve by turning the handle counter-clockwise. Control the lowering speed by adjusting how much the valve is opened.
- Once the vehicle is fully lowered, remove the jack.
Maintenance
- Lubrication: Periodically lubricate moving parts with light machine oil.
- Hydraulic Fluid: Check the hydraulic fluid level every three months or as needed. To check, lower the jack completely, remove the oil filler plug, and ensure the fluid is level with the bottom of the filler hole. Use only high-quality hydraulic jack oil. Do not use brake fluid or motor oil.
- Cleaning: Keep the jack clean and free of dirt, grease, and corrosive materials.
- Storage: Store the jack in a clean, dry place with the ram fully retracted to prevent corrosion and extend seal life.
- Inspection: Before each use, inspect the jack for any signs of damage, leaks, or worn parts. Do not use a damaged jack.
