2. Setup
2.1 Battery Installation

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Power On/Off and Temperature Unit Selection
- To power on, slide the ON/OFF switch located on the side of the unit.
- To select between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C), use the switch on the back of the unit.
3.2 Using Meat Mode
Meat Mode allows you to select a type of meat and desired doneness, with pre-programmed USDA safe cooking temperatures.

- Press the MEAT button to cycle through meat types (e.g., Beef, Veal, Pork, Chicken, Turkey, Fish).

- Place the food in the oven or on the grill, ensuring the probe cable is not pinched or exposed to direct flame.
- An alarm will sound for 60 seconds when the food reaches the set temperature.
3.3 Using Alert Mode
Alert Mode allows you to set a custom target temperature, useful for candy making, deep frying, or specific recipes.
- Press the MODE button until "ALERT" is displayed.
- Press the SET button. The target temperature will flash.
- Use the HR (up) and MIN (down) buttons to adjust the target temperature.
- Press SET again to confirm.
- Insert the probe into the food or liquid. For candy/deep frying, use the stainless steel clip to secure the probe to the saucepan edge, ensuring the probe tip is immersed but not touching the bottom.
- An alarm will sound for 60 seconds when the set temperature is reached.
3.4 Using Timer Mode
The timer can count up or down, up to 24 hours by minutes.
- Press the MODE button until "TIMER" is displayed.
- To set a countdown timer: Press the SET button. Use the HR and MIN buttons to set the desired time. Press START/STOP to begin.
- To use as a count-up timer: Ensure the timer is set to 00:00. Press START/STOP to begin counting up.
- Press START/STOP to pause or resume the timer.
- An alarm will sound for 60 seconds when the countdown timer reaches zero.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
- The stainless steel probe and cable can be wiped clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
- The main thermometer unit should be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
- Ensure the probe connector port is dry before re-connecting the probe.
4.2 Storage
