Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or shipping.
  2. Component Identification:
    • Electric Skillet Base (with nonstick cooking surface)
    • Glass Cover with Stainless Steel Rim and Handle
    • Temperature Control Probe
  3. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the skillet (after removing the temperature probe) and glass cover in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. The skillet is dishwasher safe once the temperature probe is removed.
  4. Placement: Place the electric skillet on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from walls or other appliances to ensure proper ventilation.

Operating Instructions

  1. Attaching the Temperature Probe: Ensure the temperature control probe is fully inserted into the receptacle on the side of the skillet.
  2. Connecting to Power: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. The indicator light on the probe will illuminate when power is connected and the unit is heating.
  3. Setting Temperature: Turn the temperature control dial to your desired setting, ranging from Warm to 450°F. The indicator light will turn off once the set temperature is reached and cycle on/off during cooking to maintain the temperature.
  4. Preheating: Allow the skillet to preheat for approximately 5-10 minutes, or until the indicator light turns off, before adding food.
  5. Cooking: The 12- by 15-inch nonstick cooking surface is suitable for a variety of dishes. Use heat-resistant, non-abrasive utensils to protect the nonstick coating.
  6. Using the Glass Cover: The glass cover helps retain heat and moisture. Its stainless-steel rim and handle are designed for safe handling.
  7. After Cooking: Once cooking is complete, turn the temperature dial to "OFF" and unplug the unit from the electrical outlet. Allow the skillet to cool completely before cleaning.

Maintenance and Cleaning

  1. Cool Down: Always allow the skillet to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Remove Temperature Probe: Detach the temperature control probe before washing. The probe itself should never be immersed in water or other liquids. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth if necessary.
  3. Dishwasher Safe: The skillet base and glass cover are dishwasher safe once the temperature probe is removed. For best results, place them on the top rack.
  4. Hand Washing: For hand washing, use warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge or cloth. Avoid using steel wool or harsh abrasive cleaners, which can damage the nonstick coating.
  5. Drying: Ensure all parts are thoroughly dry before storing.
  6. Storage: Store the skillet in a dry place. You may place a soft cloth between the skillet and the lid to protect the nonstick surface if stacking.

    • Avoid overloading the skillet, which can affect heat distribution.
  • Food Sticking to Nonstick Surface:
