5. Setup
5.1 Air Supply Connection
- Ensure your air compressor is capable of providing the required air pressure and volume (refer to Specifications).
- Install an air filter/regulator/lubricator (FRL) unit in your air line, as this is crucial for the longevity and performance of pneumatic tools.
- Connect a suitable air hose (minimum 3/8 inch I.D. recommended) to the tool's air inlet. Use thread sealant tape on all threaded connections to prevent air leaks.
- Set the air pressure at the regulator to the recommended operating pressure (typically 90 PSI / 6.2 Bar).
- Before connecting the tool, ensure the safety throttle lever is engaged to prevent accidental start-up.
5.2 Installing Accessories
- Disconnect the tool from the air supply before installing or changing accessories.
- Insert the shank of the grinding bit or accessory into the collet.
- Using the provided wrench spanner, tighten the collet nut securely. Ensure the accessory is firmly seated and centered to prevent vibration and potential injury.
- Never operate the tool with a loose or improperly installed accessory.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Starting and Stopping the Tool
- Ensure all safety precautions are followed and PPE is worn.
- Connect the tool to the air supply.
- To start the tool, disengage the safety throttle lever and depress the trigger.
- To stop the tool, release the trigger and engage the safety throttle lever.
- Always disconnect the air supply when finished with the tool or before any adjustments.
6.2 Grinding and Polishing
The CP875 is ideal for a variety of applications including grinding, polishing, porting, and deburring in automotive, metalworking, and DIY projects.
- Apply light, even pressure to the workpiece. Avoid excessive force, which can reduce tool life and accessory performance.
- Move the tool smoothly across the surface to achieve a consistent finish.
- For optimal results, use the appropriate grinding or polishing accessory for the material and task.
