1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Coby CT-P730 Speakerphone. The CT-P730 is a versatile telephone designed for ease of use, featuring a two-way speakerphone and a 13-number speed dial memory. 4. Setup

1. Connect the Handset: Plug one end of the coiled handset cord into the handset and the other end into the jack on the left side of the telephone base.
2. Connect to Telephone Line: Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the jack labeled "LINE" on the back of the telephone base. Plug the other end into a standard telephone wall jack.
3. Power: This telephone operates without external power. It draws power directly from the telephone line.
4. Ringer Setting: Locate the Ringer ON/OFF switch, usually on the side or back of the unit. Set it to "ON" for the phone to ring.

5.1 Making a Call

1. Lift the handset or press the SPEAKERPHONE button.
2. Listen for a dial tone.
3. Dial the desired telephone number using the numeric keypad.
4. To end the call, replace the handset or press the SPEAKERPHONE button again.

5.2 Receiving a Call

When the phone rings, lift the handset or press the SPEAKERPHONE button to answer.

5.3 Speakerphone Function

• To activate the speakerphone during a call, press the SPEAKERPHONE button. You can then place the handset back on the cradle.
• To switch back to the handset, simply lift the handset.
• To adjust speakerphone volume, use the volume control buttons (if present, or a slider on the side).

5.4 Speed Dialing (M1, M2, M3, and 0-9)

Programming Speed Dial Numbers:

1. Lift the handset or press SPEAKERPHONE.
2. Press the STORE button.
3. Dial the telephone number you wish to store (up to 16 digits).
4. Press the STORE button again.
5. Press the desired memory location button (M1, M2, M3 for one-touch, or a numeric key 0-9 for regular speed dial).
6. Replace the handset or press SPEAKERPHONE to exit programming mode.

Using Speed Dial Numbers:

1. Lift the handset or press SPEAKERPHONE.
2. For one-touch speed dial, press the desired memory button (M1, M2, or M3). The number will dial automatically.
3. For regular speed dial, press the AUTO button, then press the desired numeric key (0-9). The number will dial automatically.

5.5 Last Number Redial

To redial the last number called:

1. Lift the handset or press SPEAKERPHONE.
2. Press the REDIAL button. The last dialed number will be automatically redialed.

5.6 Hold Function

To place a call on hold:

1. During an active call, press the HOLD button. The LED indicator next to the HOLD button will illuminate.
2. To resume the call, press the HOLD button again or lift the handset.

5.7 Flash Button

The FLASH button is used to access network services such as call waiting or call transfer, depending on your telephone service provider. Press FLASH briefly during a call to activate these services.

5.8 Volume Control

• Receiver Volume: Adjust the volume of the handset receiver using the slider or button located on the side of the handset or base unit.
• Speakerphone Volume: Adjust the speakerphone volume using the dedicated volume control (if available) or by pressing the volume buttons during a speakerphone call.

5.9 Ringer On/Off Switch

To silence the telephone ringer, locate the Ringer ON/OFF switch (typically on the side or back of the unit) and slide it to the "OFF" position. Slide it to "ON" to enable the ringer.

• Cleaning: Wipe the telephone with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
