Setup

Battery Installation

The scale requires one 9V battery (included). Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale. Open the compartment, insert the 9V battery, ensuring correct polarity, and close the cover securely.

Powering On/Off

Press the 'On/Off' button to turn the scale on. The display will light up and show '0.0'. To turn off the scale, press and hold the 'On/Off' button until the display turns off. The scale also features an automatic shut-off after 10 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life.

Optional AC Power Adapter

For extended use without relying on batteries, an optional AC power adapter can be purchased separately. Plug the adapter into the designated port on the side of the scale. Using the AC adapter will deactivate the automatic 10-minute shut-off feature, allowing for continuous operation.

Operating Instructions

Unit Selection

With the scale on, press the 'Kg/Lb' button to cycle through the available measurement units: grams (g), ounces (oz), pounds (lb), and pounds + ounces (lb oz).

Tare Feature

The Tare feature allows you to weigh multiple ingredients in the same container or to exclude the weight of a container. Place an empty container on the scale, then press the 'Tare' button. The display will reset to '0.0'. You can then add your ingredients, and the scale will show only the weight of the added items. This feature can be used multiple times for different ingredients.

Weighing Items

Place the item(s) to be weighed directly onto the stainless steel platform or into a tared container. The weight will be displayed on the backlit LCD screen in your selected unit.
