Setup Guide
1. Connecting to a Television:
Use the supplied composite video cable (yellow connector) to connect the DVD player to your television.
- Locate the "VIDEO OUT" (yellow) port on the back of the DVD player.
- Connect one end of the yellow composite video cable to this port.
- Locate the "VIDEO IN" (yellow) port on your television.
- Connect the other end of the yellow composite video cable to the television's "VIDEO IN" port.
2. Connecting to an Audio System:
You have two primary options for audio connection:
Option A: Analog Audio (Standard Stereo)
Use the supplied RCA stereo audio cables (red and white connectors) for standard stereo sound.
- Locate the "AUDIO OUT" (red for right, white for left) ports on the back of the DVD player.
- Connect one end of the red and white RCA audio cables to these ports.
- Locate the corresponding "AUDIO IN" (red for right, white for left) ports on your television or stereo receiver.
- Connect the other end of the RCA audio cables to the television's or receiver's "AUDIO IN" ports.
Option B: Digital Audio (Dolby Digital/DTS Surround Sound)
For 5.1-channel surround sound, connect to an AV receiver with a coaxial digital audio input (cable not supplied).
- Locate the "COAXIAL DIGITAL AUDIO OUT" port on the back of the DVD player.
- Connect one end of a coaxial digital audio cable (not included) to this port.
- Connect the other end of the coaxial digital audio cable to the "COAXIAL DIGITAL AUDIO IN" port on your AV receiver.
- Ensure your AV receiver is configured to receive digital audio from the correct input.
3. Power Connection:
- Plug the AC power cord into the power input on the back of the DVD player.
- Plug the other end of the power cord into a standard AC wall outlet (110-220V, 50/60Hz).
4. Initial Setup (On-Screen Display):
After connecting and powering on the player, turn on your TV and select the correct input source. An on-screen display will guide you through initial settings.
- Use the remote control to navigate the menus.
- Select your preferred language (English, Spanish, French, German, Italian).
- Configure video output settings (e.g., aspect ratio) to match your TV.
- Set up parental controls if desired, using a PIN to restrict disc playback based on rating.
Operating Instructions
1. Powering On/Off:
- Press the POWER/STANDBY button on the front panel or the remote control to turn the player on or off.
2. Loading and Playing Discs:
- Press the OPEN button on the front panel to open the disc tray.
- Place a compatible disc (DVD-Video, CD, MP3 CD, JPEG CD) onto the disc tray with the label side facing up.
- Press the OPEN button again to close the disc tray.
- The player will automatically begin playback for most discs. If a menu appears, use the remote control's arrow keys and ENTER button to make selections.
- To stop playback, press the STOP button. To pause, press the PLAY/PAUSE button.
3. Remote Control Functions:
The full-function remote control provides access to all player features:
- PLAY/PAUSE: Starts or pauses disc playback.
- STOP: Stops disc playback.
- PREV/NEXT: Skips to the previous or next track/chapter.
- FF/REW: Fast forward or rewind during playback.
- MENU: Accesses the disc menu or system setup menu.
- SETUP: Enters the player's system setup menu.
- ZOOM: Magnifies a portion of the picture (2x, 4x).
- SLOW: Activates frame-by-frame slow motion playback.
- ANGLE: Changes the viewing angle on compatible DVDs.
- TITLE: Returns to the DVD title menu.
- SUBTITLE: Selects subtitle language (if available on disc).

- VOL +/-: Adjusts volume (if connected directly to TV via analog audio).
4. Playing MP3 and JPEG Discs:
When an MP3 or JPEG disc is inserted, an on-screen browser will appear. Use the arrow keys and ENTER button on the remote to navigate folders and select files for playback or viewing.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Unit:
- Wipe the exterior of the DVD player with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive cleaners, or chemical sprays, as these can damage the finish.
- Ensure the player is unplugged before cleaning.
Disc Care:
