Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to achieve beautiful, long-lasting curls with your Caruso Steam Hairsetter.
- Prepare Hair: Ensure your hair is clean and dry. For best results, detangle hair thoroughly.
- Steam Roller: Once the unit is steaming, place one foam roller onto the central steam post. Allow it to steam for 5-10 seconds, or until the roller feels warm and thoroughly saturated with steam.
- Remove Roller: Carefully remove the steamed roller from the post using the plastic shield or by holding the cool ends of the roller. The foam will be hot.
- Section Hair: Take a section of hair appropriate for the roller size. For tighter curls, use smaller sections and smaller rollers. For looser waves, use larger sections and larger rollers.
- Roll Hair: Starting from the ends of the hair section, wrap the hair smoothly around the roller, rolling towards the scalp. Ensure the hair is evenly distributed on the roller.
- Secure Roller: Once the roller is at the scalp, snap the plastic shield over the roller to secure it in place. The shield helps to maintain moisture and airflow.
- Repeat: Continue steaming rollers and applying them to sections of hair until all desired hair is rolled. The set includes 30 rollers in 5 different sizes (Petite, Small, Medium, Large, Jumbo) to accommodate various curl types and hair lengths.
- Set Time: Allow the rollers to cool completely in your hair. This typically takes 15-20 minutes. For faster setting, you may use a hair dryer or hood dryer over the rollers.
- Remove Rollers: Once cooled, gently unclip the shields and unroll the rollers from your hair. Do not pull or tug.
- Style: Finger-comb or lightly brush your curls to achieve your desired style. For added hold, finish with hairspray.

Maintenance
Proper care and maintenance will extend the life of your Caruso Molecular Steam Hairsetter.
Cleaning
- Always ensure the unit is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior of the heating unit and base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
- The foam rollers can be gently hand-washed with mild soap and water if they become soiled. Allow them to air dry completely before storing or reusing.
- Periodically, you may need to descale the water reservoir if mineral deposits build up. Use a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water, let it sit for 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
Storage
- Store the hairsetter and all rollers/shields in a cool, dry place.
- The included storage bag is ideal for keeping all components organized and protected.
- Do not wrap the power cord around the unit tightly, as this can damage the cord.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Caruso Molecular Steam Hairsetter, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |

| Rollers not getting hot/steamed. | Roller not placed correctly on steam post, or insufficient steaming time. | Ensure roller is fully seated on the steam post. Allow 5-10 seconds for each roller to steam. |
