Compatibility
This power cord is compatible with many electric shavers and razors from brands such as Braun and Norelco. It is designed to fit most older models. To ensure compatibility, please compare the dimensions and connector type of this cord with your existing shaver or razor's power input port.
Important Note: This cord will not fit the new Norelco 6000, 7000, and 8000 series razors, nor the new Braun 7000 Syncro razors or Norelco Quadra models.
It also fits many Norelco and Braun beard trimmers, including Norelco Maverick T860, etc.
Setup
- Inspect the Cord: Before first use, visually inspect the power cord for any signs of damage, such as cuts, fraying, or bent pins. Do not use a damaged cord.
- Identify the Port: Locate the power input port on your electric shaver or razor. Ensure it matches the two-pin connector of the Goodmans Power Cord.
- Connect to Device: Firmly insert the two-pin connector of the power cord into the power input port of your electric shaver or razor. Ensure a snug fit.
- Connect to Power Outlet: Plug the other end of the power cord into a standard electrical wall outlet (125V, 0.5A compatible).
Operating Instructions
Once the power cord is securely connected to both your device and a power outlet, your electric shaver or razor should begin charging or be ready for corded operation, depending on its design. Refer to your shaver's specific instruction manual for details on charging indicators and operating modes.
- Charging: For rechargeable devices, the cord will supply power to charge the internal battery.
- Direct Power: For devices designed for corded use, the cord will provide continuous power during operation.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Keep the cord clean and free from dust and debris. Wipe with a dry cloth if necessary. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Storage: When not in use, store the power cord in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid tightly winding the cord to prevent damage.
- Handling: Always grasp the plug when disconnecting from the wall outlet or device; do not pull on the cord itself.
Troubleshooting
- Device Not Charging/Powering On:
- Ensure the cord is fully inserted into both the device and the wall outlet.
- Check if the wall outlet is functional by plugging in another device.
- Verify that your shaver or razor model is compatible with this power cord (refer to the Compatibility section).
- Inspect the cord for any visible damage. If damaged, discontinue use and replace.
- Loose Connection:
- If the cord feels loose in the shaver's port, it might indicate an incompatibility or wear in the shaver's port. Ensure the cord is designed for your specific model.
