Preparation for Use

Before applying any cleaning or conditioning products, ensure your guitar is free of strings. This allows for thorough access to the fretboard, body, and hardware. It is recommended to work in a clean, dust-free environment.

Operating Instructions

1. Fingerboard Cleaning and Conditioning (Fingerboard Cleaner & Prep 01 and Deep Conditioner Oil 02)

The Fingerboard Cleaner & Prep (01) is the initial step for fingerboard maintenance. It effectively removes accumulated dirt and residue. Follow with the Deep Conditioner Oil (02) to replenish and condition the wood, enhancing its natural protective oils and dark character.

  1. Apply Fingerboard Cleaner & Prep (01) to a clean cloth or directly to the fretboard.
  2. Gently rub the fretboard to loosen and remove dirt and grime.
  3. Wipe off any excess cleaner with a clean part of the cloth.
  4. Once the fretboard is clean and dry, apply a small amount of Fingerboard Deep Conditioner Oil (02) to a separate clean cloth.
  5. Rub the oil into the fretboard, ensuring even coverage.
  6. Allow the oil to penetrate for a few minutes, then wipe off any excess with a clean, dry cloth.

2. Guitar Body Cleaning and Polishing (Formula No. 65 Polish and Cleaner)

Formula No. 65 Polish and Cleaner is designed to remove wax buildup, dirt, and grime from your guitar's body while polishing and protecting the clear coat finish.

  1. Shake the bottle well before use.
  2. Spray a small amount of Formula No. 65 Polish and Cleaner onto one of the provided 100% cotton cloths or directly onto a small section of the guitar body.
  3. Gently rub the surface in small circular motions to clean and polish.
  4. Use a separate clean, dry part of the cloth to buff the area to a shine.
  5. Repeat for all areas of the guitar body.

3. Guitar Body Protection (Bodygloss Cream of Carnauba)

Bodygloss Cream of Carnauba provides a protective layer, enhancing the guitar's finish with a smudge-free, moisture-resistant barrier.

  1. Shake the bottle well before use.
  2. Apply a small amount of Bodygloss Cream of Carnauba to a clean, soft cloth.
  3. Apply to the guitar body in a thin, even layer.
  4. Allow to haze slightly, then buff to a brilliant shine with a separate clean, dry cloth.

4. String Maintenance (Ultraglide 65 String Cleaner and Conditioner)

Ultraglide 65 String Cleaner and Conditioner cleans and conditions strings, extending their life and reducing finger noise. Apply after new strings are installed or during regular string changes.

  1. Apply a small amount of Ultraglide 65 to the provided Micro Fine Fret Polishing Cloth.
  2. Run the cloth along the length of each string, wiping away grime and conditioning the string surface.
  3. Ensure even coverage on all strings.
