Setup

1. Power Supply

  • Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment on the back of the unit. Insert a 9-volt battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.
  • AC Adapter (Optional): Connect a compatible 9V DC AC adapter (e.g., BOSS PSA series) to the DC IN jack on the unit.

2. Initial Power On

Operating Instructions

1. Setting Tempo (BPM)

  • Use the TEMPO/VALUE dial to adjust the beats per minute (BPM). Turn clockwise to increase tempo, counter-clockwise to decrease.

2. Adjusting Beat and Rhythm

  • Press the RHYTHM/BEAT buttons to cycle through various rhythm types and beat variations. The DB-66 supports complex time signatures up to 17 beats per measure.
  • Use the individual VOLUME SLIDERS to adjust the accent and volume of different note values within the selected rhythm pattern.

3. Starting and Stopping the Metronome

  • Press the START/STOP button to begin the metronome click.
  • Press the START/STOP button again to pause or stop the metronome.

4. Headphone Use

  • Connect standard 3.5mm stereo headphones to the PHONES jack for private practice.

Advanced Features

1. Tap Tempo

  • Press the TAP/MUTE button repeatedly at your desired tempo. The metronome will automatically adjust to the tapped BPM.

2. Reference Tone / Tuner

  • Press the NOTE/PITCH button to access the reference tone function. This allows you to output a specific pitch for tuning your instrument.

3. Memory Function

4. Auto Power-Off
