Setup

  1. Unpack the corkscrew from its packaging.
  2. Inspect the corkscrew for any visible damage or loose parts.
  3. Familiarize yourself with the moving parts: the head (handle), the screw, and the two levers (arms).
  4. Ensure the screw is fully retracted into the body and the levers are in their down position.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to safely and effectively open a wine bottle with your Alessi Anna G. Corkscrew:

  1. Prepare the Bottle: Remove any foil or capsule covering the cork and bottle neck.
  2. Position the Corkscrew: Place the base of the corkscrew firmly over the neck of the wine bottle, ensuring the screw is centered over the cork. The levers should be in their down position.
  3. Insert the Screw: Hold the bottle securely with one hand. With the other hand, grasp the head (Anna G.'s face) and turn it clockwise. The screw will begin to descend into the cork, and the levers will gradually rise.
  4. Continue Turning: Keep turning the head clockwise until the levers are fully raised and the screw is completely inserted into the cork.
  5. Extract the Cork: Once the levers are fully raised, firmly press both levers downwards simultaneously. This action will gently lift the cork out of the bottle.
  6. Remove the Cork: Once the cork is extracted, twist the head counter-clockwise to release the cork from the screw.
