The VS1300 Vacuum Sealer is a compact appliance designed for efficient food preservation. It operates by removing air from specially designed vacuum canisters, jars, and bottles, thereby extending the freshness of stored food.

  • Main Unit: The primary vacuum sealing device.
  • Canisters: Included 1-quart and 1-1/2 quart stackable canisters for vacuum storage.
  • Universal Hose: Connects the main unit to canisters or other compatible vacuum-sealable containers.

Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for storage or future transport.
  2. Inspect: Check the appliance and all accessories for any signs of damage. Do not use if damaged.
  3. Clean: Wipe the exterior of the vacuum sealer unit with a damp cloth. Wash the canisters and universal hose with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely before first use.
  4. Placement: Place the vacuum sealer on a stable, flat, and dry surface, away from heat sources and water.
  5. Power Connection: Ensure the power cord is easily accessible and plug the unit into a standard electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

Vacuum Sealing Canisters

  1. Prepare Canister: Place food items into a clean, dry vacuum canister. Ensure the canister rim is clean and free of food particles or moisture.
  2. Secure Lid: Place the lid firmly onto the canister. Ensure the lid is properly seated and sealed.
  3. Connect Hose: Insert one end of the universal hose into the vacuum port on the main VS1300 unit. Insert the other end of the hose firmly onto the vacuum port located on the canister lid.
  4. Start Vacuum: Press the designated vacuum button or activate the vacuum function on the main unit. The unit will begin to remove air from the canister.
  5. Monitor Process: The vacuum process will continue until sufficient air has been removed. Some models may have an indicator light or automatic shut-off.
  6. Release Hose: Once the vacuum cycle is complete, gently remove the hose from the canister lid first, then from the main unit. The canister is now vacuum-sealed.
  7. To Open Canister: To release the vacuum seal, locate the release button or valve on the canister lid and press it until air enters the canister. Then, remove the lid.

Using with Other Universal Canisters, Jars, and Bottles

The VS1300 is designed to work with most universal vacuum-sealable canisters, jars, and bottles that are compatible with a universal vacuum hose. Follow the same steps as above, ensuring a proper connection between the universal hose and the container's vacuum port.
