Setup
1. Placement
Place the SL-DZ1200 on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive dust or moisture. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
2. Power Connection
- Ensure the power switch on the rear panel is in the OFF position.
- Connect the supplied AC power cord to the AC IN~ terminal on the rear of the unit.
- Plug the other end of the power cord into a suitable wall outlet.
3. Audio Connections
The SL-DZ1200 offers various audio output options:
- Line Out (RCA): Connect these to the line input of your mixer or amplifier using standard RCA cables.
- Digital Control Out (Coaxial): For digital audio output to compatible devices.
- Phones (Headphone Jack): Connect standard stereo headphones for monitoring. Adjust volume using the PHONES VOLUME knob.

Operating Instructions
1. Powering On/Off
To power on the unit, flip the POWER switch on the rear panel to the ON position. To power off, flip the switch back to OFF.
2. Loading Media
The SL-DZ1200 supports both CDs and SD memory cards.
- CDs: Insert a CD into the front-loading slot. The unit will automatically detect and begin reading the disc.
- SD Cards: Insert an SD memory card into the dedicated slot on the front panel. The unit will access compatible audio files (MP3, AAC) stored on the card.

3. Basic Playback and Control
- Platter Control: The 10-inch platter functions similarly to a vinyl turntable. Use it for scratching, cueing, and adjusting playback.
- Vinyl Sim: Activate the Vinyl Sim feature to apply analog sound characteristics to digital audio.
- Cue Pads: Utilize the four cue pads to set, save, and instantly recall specific points within a track. Up to 50 sets of 10 cue points can be stored on an SD card.
- Sample Pads: The four sample pads allow for editing (in/out points, looping) and playback of audio samples.
- Pitch Control: Adjust the track tempo using the pitch control slider. The range is +/-8% to +/-50%. Engage the pitch lock to change tempo without altering the audio pitch.
- Forward/Reverse Play: Use the dedicated controls to switch between forward and reverse playback. The transition speed can be adjusted.
- Free Wheel: This function allows the platter to spin freely, mimicking the behavior of an analog turntable.
- Display: The central display shows critical information such as BPM, elapsed time, remaining time, and track data. The viewing angle is adjustable for optimal visibility.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and then dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Platter Care: Keep the platter surface clean and free of dust or debris to ensure smooth operation and accurate tracking.
- CD/SD Card Handling: Always handle CDs by their edges and keep them free of scratches and fingerprints. Ensure SD cards are inserted and removed correctly to prevent damage.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the unit in a clean, dry environment, ideally covered to prevent dust accumulation.
