Setup

1. Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the machine.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.

2. Threading the Machine

1. Place a spool of thread onto the spool pin.
2. Guide the thread through the thread guides as indicated by the arrows or markings on the machine.
3. Pass the thread through the tension dial, ensuring it is seated correctly.
4. Thread the needle from front to back. It may be helpful to use a needle threader if available.
5. Pull approximately 6 inches of thread through the needle eye.

3. Connecting the Foot Pedal

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

Locate the power switch, typically on the side or back of the machine. Flip the switch to the 'ON' position to power on the machine. The working light will illuminate. Flip to 'OFF' when finished.

2. Preparing to Sew

• Raise the presser foot using the lever located behind the needle.
• Place your fabric under the presser foot, aligning the edge with the desired seam allowance.
• Lower the presser foot onto the fabric.

3. Starting to Sew

Gently press the foot pedal to begin sewing. The machine will start stitching. Guide the fabric smoothly with both hands, ensuring it feeds evenly under the needle. Release the foot pedal to stop sewing.

4. Adjusting Tension

The machine features a tension dial. If stitches appear too loose or too tight, adjust the dial incrementally. Turn clockwise for tighter stitches and counter-clockwise for looser stitches. Test on a scrap piece of fabric after each adjustment.

5. Finishing a Seam

When you reach the end of your seam, stop the machine by releasing the foot pedal. Raise the presser foot and gently pull the fabric away from the needle. Cut the thread, leaving a short tail.
