5.1 Connecting to a Television

    Connect the Y, Pb, and Pr output jacks on the DVD-V4800 to the corresponding component video input jacks on your TV. This connection supports progressive scan (480p) for a sharper image.

  2. Composite Video Connection (Standard):

    Connect the yellow composite video output jack on the DVD-V4800 to the yellow video input jack on your TV.

  3. RF Connection (Basic):

    Connect the RF output jack on the DVD-V4800 to the antenna/cable input on your TV using a coaxial cable. Tune your TV to the appropriate channel (usually channel 3 or 4).

5.2 Connecting Audio

Connect the audio outputs from the DVD-V4800 to your TV or audio receiver.

  • Stereo Audio Connection: Connect the red (right) and white (left) audio output jacks on the DVD-V4800 to the corresponding audio input jacks on your TV or receiver.
  • Digital Audio Connection (for Surround Sound): For multi-channel audio, connect either the Coaxial Digital Audio Output or the Optical Digital Audio Output to a compatible A/V receiver. This allows for Dolby Surround-encoded audio.

5.3 Power Connection

Once all audio and video connections are made, plug the power cord of the DVD-V4800 into a standard AC wall outlet.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic DVD Playback

  1. Turn on the DVD-VCR Combo and your TV.
  2. Select the correct input on your TV (e.g., Component, Video 1, HDMI if using an adapter).
  3. Press the DVD button on the remote control or front panel to select DVD mode.
  4. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the DVD tray.
  5. Place a DVD disc onto the tray with the label side facing up.
  6. Press OPEN/CLOSE again to close the tray. Playback will usually begin automatically. If not, press PLAY.
  7. Use PLAY, PAUSE, STOP, FAST FORWARD, and REWIND buttons for control.

  2. Select the correct input on your TV.
  3. Press the VCR button on the remote control or front panel to select VCR mode.
  4. Insert a VHS tape into the VCR slot.

  3. Navigate through your files using the remote control.
