Maintenance
Cleaning
Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Avoid exposing the device to excessive moisture.
Battery Replacement
Replace batteries when the display dims or the unit fails to power on. For the main battery, professional replacement may be recommended due to potential complexity. Printer batteries are typically user-replaceable.
Paper Roll Replacement
When the paper roll is depleted, replace it with a new thermal paper roll as described in the Setup section. Ensure you use thermal paper compatible with the S149 printer.
Troubleshooting
- Device does not power on: Check battery installation and ensure batteries are not depleted.
- Display is dim or blank: Replace batteries.
- Printer not printing:
- Ensure paper roll is correctly installed and not depleted.
- Verify that thermal paper is being used (standard paper will not work).
- In cold environments (below 0°C / 32°F), thermal printing performance may be significantly reduced or cease entirely. Operate the device within recommended temperature ranges.
- Incorrect time or date: Adjust settings using the TIME and A/S SET buttons as per the operating instructions.
- Memory recall issues: Ensure memory has not been cleared. If issues persist, try clearing memory and re-testing.
