Setup

Before First Use:

  1. Unpack the waffle maker and remove all packaging materials.
  2. Wipe the cooking plates with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
  3. For the first use, lightly grease the cooking plates with a small amount of cooking oil or butter.
  4. Plug the appliance into a suitable power outlet (230V). The indicator light will illuminate.
  5. Allow the appliance to heat up for approximately 5-10 minutes on the highest setting without any batter. This will burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke is normal during this initial heating.
  6. Unplug and allow to cool completely before wiping the plates again.

Operating Instructions

  1. Preheating: Close the waffle maker and plug it into a 230V power outlet. The indicator light will turn on. Set the temperature control dial to your desired browning level (1 for lighter, 5 for darker). The appliance will begin to heat up.
  2. Ready Signal: Once the waffle maker reaches the set temperature, the optical signal (light) will change, and an acoustic signal (beep) will sound, indicating it is ready for use.
  3. Adding Batter: Open the waffle maker. Pour approximately 150-200ml of waffle batter evenly onto the center of the lower cooking plate. Do not overfill, as the batter will expand.
  4. Cooking: Close the lid gently. The indicator light may change again as the appliance maintains temperature.
  5. Waffle Completion: The optical and acoustic signals will activate again when the waffle is cooked to the desired browning level. Cooking time typically ranges from 3-5 minutes, depending on the batter and desired crispness.
  6. Removing Waffles: Open the lid and carefully remove the cooked waffle using a heat-resistant wooden or silicone spatula. Do not use metal utensils, as they can damage the non-stick coating.
  7. Subsequent Waffles: Close the lid and wait for the ready signal before cooking the next waffle.
  8. After Use: Once you have finished cooking, unplug the waffle maker from the power outlet.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your waffle maker.

  1. Cool Down: Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Cleaning Plates: Wipe the non-stick cooking plates with a soft, damp cloth or sponge. For stubborn residue, a small amount of mild dish soap can be used. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or metal brushes, as these will damage the non-stick coating.
  3. Drip Tray: The integrated drip tray (grease winder) can be easily cleaned with warm soapy water.
  4. Exterior: Wipe the exterior stainless steel housing with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not use harsh chemicals.
  5. Storage: Ensure the appliance is clean and dry before storing. The waffle maker can be stored vertically to save space, utilizing its integrated cord winder.
