  6. Turn on the machine and wait for the indicator light to signal it's ready (heated).
  7. Turn the control knob to the espresso brewing position. Coffee will begin to flow into the cups.
  8. Once the desired amount of espresso is brewed, turn the control knob back to the standby/off position.
  9. Carefully remove the portafilter and discard the used coffee grounds or pod.

Making Cappuccino or Latte (Milk Frothing)

  1. Brew your espresso shot(s) first, as described above.
  2. Fill a frothing pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) to about one-third full.
  3. Turn the control knob to the steam position and wait for the machine to heat up for steaming (indicator light will signal readiness).
  4. Position the steam wand just below the surface of the milk in the pitcher.
  5. Turn the control knob to release steam. Move the pitcher up and down slowly to incorporate air and create froth.
  6. Once the milk is frothed to your desired consistency and temperature, turn the control knob back to the standby/off position.
  7. Wipe the steam wand immediately with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying.
  8. Pour the frothed milk over your espresso.
