Setup Guide

1. Battery Installation

The thermometer/timer requires one AAA battery (included). To install:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the unit.
  2. Open the battery cover.
  3. Insert one AAA battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery cover securely.

2. Probe Connection

Connect the temperature probe to the designated port on the side of the main unit. Ensure the connection is firm.

3. Initial Placement

The unit features a flip-top display for optimal viewing angles and magnets on the back for convenient mounting on metallic surfaces like oven doors or refrigerators.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

Locate the main ON/OFF switch on the back of the unit. Slide it to the "ON" position to power on the device. Slide to "OFF" when not in use to conserve battery life.

Setting Temperature Alarm

  1. Ensure the main power switch on the back is "ON".
  2. Press the TEMP SET button. The "SET TEMP" display will flash.
  3. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the desired target temperature.
  4. Press TEMP SET again to confirm, or wait a few seconds for it to set automatically.
  5. Slide the TEMP ALERT switch on the front of the unit to "ON" to activate the temperature alarm. The alarm will sound when the probe reaches the set temperature.

Setting Timer

  1. Press the HR button to set the hours and the MIN button to set the minutes.
  2. Press START/STOP to begin the countdown.
  3. To pause, press START/STOP again. Press again to resume.
  4. To clear the timer, press the CLEAR button.
  5. The alarm will sound when the timer reaches zero.

Using Timer and Thermometer Simultaneously

The unit can operate both the timer and thermometer functions concurrently. Set both as described above. The alarm will sound for whichever function reaches its set point first.

Switching Temperature Units (°F/°C)

On the back of the unit, near the battery compartment, there is a small switch to toggle between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C) temperature readings.

Memory Function

The thermometer/timer is equipped with a memory function that saves the last used temperature setting, allowing for quick recall for frequently cooked items.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean the unit, wipe it with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water. The probe can be wiped clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Ensure the probe connection port on the main unit remains dry.

Battery Replacement

When the display dims or the unit stops functioning correctly, it may be time to replace the AAA battery. Follow the battery installation steps in the "Setup Guide" section.
